First, plainly
What an agent is, without the buzzwords
Think of an agent as a very fast, very literal new hire. You give it a narrow job, the
systems it needs, a definition of “done”, and a rule about when to ask a
human. It works the same way every time and it writes down what it did.
That is the whole idea. The interesting part is not the model, since models change every
few months. The interesting part is choosing the right job, drawing the boundaries
carefully, and making sure the person who used to do that job now has a better one.
The question is never “can AI do this?” It is “should this task exist,
and who should own it?”
